My 3rd in a series
Continuing my never ending quest to improve the use of Ribbon microphones, and DIY to improve them.
These files are for a ribbon alignment jig to re-ribbon the MXL R80 truss, along with replacement ribbon clamps and covers. Replace the PCB with a 3-D printed part, and suspend the truss using flex corner braces.
An additional frame is provided to allow you to instead of using the smaller MXL ribbon truss, to replace it with Rick's much larger truss from Austin Ribbon. His link is here.
You can get the ribbon element here: http://www.diyribbonmic.com/parts
Print all 100% infill.
For the flex corner braces, I tried a couple of different filaments, and found Nijaflex gave me the best results.
