This is my design for a bedside lamp where I have used a WiFi WLED controller to upcycle an old lamp (I think it is an old Ikea lamp). This includes all the 3D printed parts and the circuit diagram with PCB that should be fine to produce. It's all open sourced and people are free to modify and change.
I have included a 3mf version of the lower cover which includes a suggested support zone and brim. It is a very narrow part and the brim helps prevent lifting. The rest I printed at 0.2mm layers with the button being printed at 0.1mm layer height (so the dome looks a bit nicer).
Most of the parts can be printed in PLA although I printed the LED Tube Insert.stl in PETG.
The strip is 60LED/m and has 1m worth of LED (actually it is 59 LEDs). The aluminium tube is 100mm long, 41.3mm external diameter and a wall thickness of 1.63mm (not affiliated https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Aluminium-Round-Tube-Pipe-25mm-28mm-30mm-32mm-35mm-38mm-40mm-45mm-6082T6-6063T6/283528430007?var=584726355082).
The button is a 6mm tactile button with a height of 4.2mm from base to top of button.
I have also included the SketchUp model used which includes a recreation of the lamp which, while I haven't printed it, should make it possible to make your own. It can also be used to show how it goes together. The diffusers are supposed to be printed using your printers "vase" mode. I would suggest setting the extrusion width to at least 0.9-1mm - which on other prints I found I can get PrusaSlicer to do with a 0.4mm nozzle.
Below are the video's I have made covering the design and build of the lamp. At time of writing Episode 3 will be released tomorrow.
