This building was used for the processing and storage of Natural Gas. Its large windows and doors assured that fumes would not build up. Built in three stages, the first section (westernmost) was supplemented a few years later by the southern section with its distinctive octagonal turret, both designed by Beman in a sort of 'stick style.' Some time later, a large storage shed was added to the rear of the building. The entire complex was pulled down in the 1950s, and today the site is covered by a road. Owing to both this and the fact that very few pictures of the facility exist, I have 'reimagined' the facility as it may look containing, say, a service station, on a plot of land immediately adjacent to the original.
