For LG840G Cell Phones
See also my version without the ipod-shuffle case. Just a cover. http://www.thingiverse.com/thing:658862
Wanted to make use of my new ipod Shuffle and have with me when i wanted it. Use it sometimes plugged into my car stereo.
It prints fine. One thing to think of before printing is, to print separately. Do so because the phone-Clip part that pushes down over the ipod case part needs to print slower, about 20 to 30mm/s, while the case pictured was printed at 80mm/s. The phone-clip has the thin small finger clips which need to print slowly.
Works out nice because the phone-clip part will wear out with a finger clip breaking after a few months of pocket use. They print quickly.
Don't forget to use support for the phone-clip. Hate it, but the only way i could think to get all parts in and printable. You may have some areas that may need gluing some velvet or paper in to give a bit of more holding on the ipod case part. For a more of a snap in effect.
Hope you enjoy, Rick.
Note: The picture shows a small piece of thin card stock glued inside the top finger on the phone-clip part. The updated version 4 with the download should fix this without any card stock needed.
Update: Also wanted to add that the fingers may print a bit loose and not have the snap-in on the phone you may want. The thing i did with mine is; use a micro torch or maybe a hair drier to warm the top single finger and squeeze it in a bit. Should work fine and have the snap-in you like.
