Thanks to Deok-yeon Kim who created the SpotMicro initially and to Brad, who rebuild everything as STEP files, we can now build out own army of quadrupped robots.
This is my version of Spotmicro, based on STEP files Brad provided, I had to change the spaces for servo horn because I have T25 horns and they didn't fit.
To test if your horns will fit, there is a small test piece. If you're able to put your horn into (tight fit), you're ready to go.
Also I changed a few files. The Top and Back cover are split into two parts which makes them printable without support. Also there are venting holes so no head will be catched inside the robot. You can add 40mm fans if needed. Because the cover is split into two parts each, it is stupid simple to enlarge the entire robot. My self-build 2s3p battery did not fit (too long), which results in a 50mm larger version of robot. I just had to print a spacer for the covers and to print new left/right plate.
The back cover has been splitted into two parts as well. There back plate is now a distinct part. If you plan to add oled, LED, buttons or whatever later, you don't need to reprint the complete back cover, just build a new plate for it.
This is also true for the new nose. I swapped the RPI camera mount and replaced it with nothing. This way, you can t whatever you want inside. If you want to change things later, just print a new inner part without printing the entire nose again.
As a special, I also changed the lower feet/paw parts. I hate to glue things together because you can't swap them easily out. Also, TPU will be too slippy so I wanted to use 2K silicone for paws instead. This results in a silicone mold for paws. Also there is a small printed part, where the paw gets molded around. This way, you can screw the paws to the feets. It's like changing shoes.
Please note, as my work is based on STEP files Brad provides (thanks again), everything is compatible with files provided by Brad or SpotMicro community.
UPDATE 2019-11-24 : Mid Arm Cover added
UPDATE 2019-12-03: 50mm spacer for top and bottom cover added
UPDATE 2019-12-23: new parts for servo horn. These parts are equipped with small holes to tighten the servo horn to motor by a small crew on both sides. These parts are named with "_hole for tightening" at the end.
