UPDATE AT BOTTOM OF SUMMARY
I don't play Pokemon Go myself, but I work in IT for a video game company... so almost everyone around me does. I started this design as a first attempt at 3D modeling and it's gone through 5 revisions so far. I was trying to solve the "use it one handed" problem but keep it as universal as possible, and this is my best solution so far.
The idea is the bracket at the bottom will go over the bottle bezzle of your phone. It's designed with an indent to allow for two things:
The part shouldn't hit the buttons on the phone
Allow for a substance like sticky tack to be put inside the model.
The idea is the sticky tack should hold the phone to the screen so you can play one handed, but also be safe to remove and reuse later. The model is sized to fit a phone like the iPhone 4, but the insets should be wide enough so it doesn't hit home/back/menu buttons on Android phones.
The functional part (the aimer) has beveled edges so it's a lot more comfortable to use, and the hole at the base is beveled as well so you should be able to hit your home button.

UPDATE: 08/11/2016
Added a Mk5-T model to the pack. Some people with certain models of Samsung were complaining that since the lower bezel on their phone is so small it doesn't work with some cases, specifically the big ones like Otterboxes. I thinned up the lower part of the model by ~6mm. Mk5-T should work on other phones as well.
Actually did some more testing with other sticky tacks, specifically LocTite Fun-Tak Mounting Putty (http://smile.amazon.com/dp/B001F57ZPW) and it works really well. Very happy with the results.
