This allows you to adjust the tracking on your OpenRC F1 car,
It also positions both steering arms at the same height (so one is not at an upwards angle like on the original design).
You need an M3 screw which you cut off the head and is screwed into both halves of the track rod (or is it tie-rod?).
To assemble it, screw half the M3 bolt into the inner rod and then cut its head off.
Round off the sharp edges with a file or Dremel and screw the outer rod onto it.
You could put some super-glue or threadlock in the inner rod first, since it is only the outer rod that will need to rotate.
There are 2 versions:
For the non-2017 car, you need 2 x 20mm to 25mm M3 screws. (The hole is 12.75mm deep.)
For the 2017 car, you need 2 x 20mm to 30mm M3 screws. (The hole is 15mm deep.)
To adjust the steering, disconnect the outer steering rod from the wheel and rotate it half turns until the tracking is correct.
The pictures show it with the front suspension mod, but it works exactly the same with the stock configuration.
If you want to print all 4 pieces at once, you can just download theSteering_TieRods_All_2017.stl or Steering_TieRods_All.stl file.
