MSX ST2 SPR (C51)

The C51 MSX ST2 SPR (MSX/R in China, where MSX isn;t sold yet) is a hot hatch replacing the C40 ST2 SP4 Turbo. Like the old C4 series the C5 is RWD, has a 2.0L turbo I4 engine and is available as a hatch (C51) or wagon (C52). The engine produces 270hp(274PS, 201kW)@6100rpm and 345Nm(180 ft-lb)@1900-5500rpm, and can be had with either a six speed manual or DCT auto. A sports suspension and brake package, adaptive dampers, an electronically controlled LSD and launch control are fitted to extract the best driving experience from the RWD chassis to deliver a driver experience unmatched in this price range. The SPR is separated visually by a bodykit and unique alloy wheels. It;s features include a 6 disc CD player, 7 airbags, TC, DSC, alloy wheels, parking sensors and reversing camera. A optional performance pack adds an extra 10hp, an active exhaust and six piston front brakes. The SPR also comes in a unique range of colours. It's made in the Germany, Australia and the US (a new plant in Kentucky). ST2 production brings new export opportunities to the Australian plant, cars will be sent to New Zealand, Thailand, S. Korea, China, and the Middle East. It costs US$26,990, CA$28,750, AU$37,870, £23,420, NZ$51,400, 27,800, RMB 345,000. It costs roughly the same as a Ford Focus ST or BMW 118i in other countries.
