Update 2/16/2019
I had made a thicker version of this clamp back in 10/18 to make the belt more centered in the 2020, but never uploaded that. Since PARADOXICLES commented having problems with this, I took a few minutes this morning to make it so the openscad file worked with original thinner thickness as well as the thicker version. I have not tested the X-CarriageBeltClamp_Thin_rev52.stl, but have been using X-CarriageBeltClamp_Thick_rev52.stl for several months.
I created this to replace the wire tie bolts on my i3v 10". This probably will work on the 8" & 12" version as well. I used 2 M3x16mm socket head bolts & locknuts to hold it in place. After looking at it installed, The top of the belt does not seem to be quite parallel with the extrusion as I thought it would. There is room to shift the design up a little, but not sure it is really a problem. I printed 1 hour with it so far without any problems.
Update 6/3/2015
I added a rev18, but have not printed or tested this one yet. I moved the belt connection up 1.5mm which should make it more parallel with the inside top of the aluminum extrusion. The top of this clamp still has the same clearance from the inside top of the aluminum.
Update 6/4/2015
I added a rev19 & printed this, but have not installed it on my printer. This version puts the top of the belt even with the top of the clamp which is about 1.3mm above rev18 version or 2.8mm above rev17.
