Hi guys,
The knuckle goes with the axle shown in pics.
Axle difference video explanation here: https://youtu.be/tsVCPI4CggY
This knuckle lets you use Axial style CVD drive shafts with an Injora metal crawler front axle. The stock Injora CVDs are notoriously weak, so this lets you upgrade to avoid as much breakage (hopefully). I think it's worth mentioning that setting your steering endpoints correctly is important because if you try to turn too sharply the CVD may be past center (approx 45 degrees) and reluctant to keep rotating leading to snappage. That said, those Injora axles are weak so I'm hoping the Axial style ones are tougher.
Winter has arrived with a vengeance where I live so all I've managed to do is indoor testing. So far, no breakage. I will update if this part or the axles end up disappointing me.
I used the version with the built in support, printed with the arm near the build plate and supports touching build plate turned on. The built in support makes for better printing of the upper sticky outy bit in my experience. I tried to break this knuckle with my hands and couldn't, so it's pretty strong if you print with good settings. Do whatever works for you.
Use at your own risk.
