The California Air Tools 1P1060S compressor is well reviewed as being quiet compared to the competition however due to vibration, if you're using this inside, it's still very loud. I found if I held the compressor in the air while it was running, it was much quieter outside of the room I was in as the vibrations were dampened. So I created the squash ball feet that dampen the vibration to be just about the same as holding the compressor in the air.
To install, take off each rubber foot by unscrewing the screw holding them in the center. Watch out for the small washer as it tends to fall out especially later so I recommend taking it out and setting it aside. Push the original rubber foot through this printed foot. Then use the original screw and washer to put it back on the compressor. Then insert the squash ball. No additional parts are needed besides the 3d printed feet.
If your compressor is already on carpet or some other form of padding, this solution may be ineffectual. See the comments for at least one report that these feet did not help when the compressor was already on carpet. As you can tell from the photos, my compressor is on a hardwood floor and it has certainly helped in this situation but your experience may vary.
