Some months ago I noticed that my Prusa I3 clone tends to be too small. I had to cut my models in half several times to get them printed. So I decided to build a BigPrinter clone.
This project uses 20x20 aluminium profiles which are screwed together with previously printed brackets. All the parts are easily accessible and you can customize to your personal needs.
Ivan kindly offered a link to his Fusion360 project on his former website files but it seems he hasn't changed anything in the last months (or maybe is secretly about to so :-).
So I decided to publish my changes and improvements so far. Publishing all the files for other people's use will take some time though. Since it is a rather long list I included photos of the relevant items. All items belonging together have th same name prefix.
I also found another project here on Thingivers which customized to a size of 300x300mm and 500mm height. Some of the parts are include into my files.
Some of the files like the original cable chain came from Thingiverse. The Raspberry holder was a contribution on Ivan's pages. Unfortunately I have lost all the original URLs.
The original measurements don't give the mentioned 300x300x600, this is just the inner size. Quite some size is lost due to needed mechanics.
For a rough overview: currently I have a printable space of X:320 Y:530 Z:260. The profiles and rods have the following lengths:
X rod: 48,5 profile: 44 (difference must be same as in the original parts list)
Y: rod: 710 profile 702 (profiles could be 30mm longer for the same rod)
Z: rod/profile: 350
The short vertical profiles for the middle carrier profile is 170 but could be anything you need.
