My first attempt to create Z-Axis for my DIY router. Based on type 775 DC motor, linear drive with NEMA-17, 8mm lead screw, 8mm steel rods and bearing blocks.
I tried to make it somehow flexible in Z-offset with few extra mounting holes on the back to attach to the X-gantry.
I'm out of filament right now, but when my order arrives I will add pictures with the assembly process and assembled view.
Dimensions:
Z overall height (including the stepper) = 175mm
X width gantry = 100mm
X width body = 80mm
Y depth (back plane to spindle axis) = 90mm
Y overall depth = 117mm
Z move range = 50mm
Rods and lead screw length = 100mm
