This is a mount for a lower Z axis bearing for the lead screws. The inside contains enough space for the common 'springy aluminium' lead screw coupling. When assembling the threaded rod through the bearing mount, a gap should be left between the motor shaft and the end of the threader rod to allow the bearing to position the rod in X and Y.
The bearing recess has been sized for the common 608 bearing (8mm ID, 22mm OD, 7mm thk). The model has 21mm centres between smooth rod hole and leadscrew axis.
