This design is for Anycubic Predator owners that have all these upgrades:
e3D Volcano
Duet2 w/delta Smart Effector
Haydyn's Magballs
(2) 24V 4010 blower fans and (1) 24V 4010 axial fan for the heatsink
At first I tried the standard Duet Delta/Smart Effector parts, then designed this as a major upgrade. It retains the same arm (separation) spacing of the original Predator for greater movement rigidity vs. the PCB and smart effector parts. It also recovers the full printable height lost to the Smart Effector + Volcano by mounting the Magball arms as low as possible while still allowing for full motion around the bed without hitting the arms.
You'll have to work out the correct Z height in the config.g file for your Duet for this to work. To do this perform a regular Z-probe trigger height calibration (https://duet3d.dozuki.com/Wiki/Test_and_calibrate_the_Z_probe). After finding the trigger height and setting the Z = 0 at the bed, home all axis. Note the Z height @home location (factoring in the standard offset after homing). Then send the nozzle to Z=0. Likely you'll find that it stops well above the bed (where it thinks Z = 0). Manually move it downward until it just touches the bed as you did in the Z-probe calibration. The Z will probably read ~(-54mm) or so at the actual bed. Use this number to alter the M665 H parameter to compensate for the right height. You should test this out a few times before printing, so that the homing height is correct. When you send the nozzle to Z=0 it just barely touches the bed.
I had experimented with a number of designs but all had some issues. This cage is convenient and prints great. I'm even toying with the idea of getting a 2nd smart effector with this cage so I can hot-swap one nozzle diameter to another.
Recommend using M3 lock nuts instead of the regular M3 nuts for all major connections. For the fan shroud you'll need M2 bolts and nuts, roughly 16mm. The bolts for any parts can be counter-sunk in advance with CA Adhesive into slots for the nuts, which I'd highly recommend for convenience (especially the fan shroud).
If your Predator has Linear Rails, consider this mod for a carriage adapter that I did as a remix: (https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:4829126). At the extreme edges of the bed this will prevent any rubbing of the arms against the cage.
