MyRCCar F/R Differential Housing for HSP 02024 Diff. with adjustable caster (OLD) by dlb5

Hi againz!
This would be the second chapter if you are planning to make your own MyRCCar.
I made this housing for the HSP 02024 FR diff or similar becouse i think is one of the easiest to find in the market and also with very cheap chinnesse compatible ones. I think most 1/10 4x4 kits include this kind of differential, at least cheap ones. As maybe you observed, i took mine from a Quanum Vandal kit, now discontinued... :( I paid 55€ for the kit and got many many parts from it... including FR diffs, shocks or wheels, links and screws.
For me, the interesting characteristic about this housing is that it allows you to change the caster of the axle just printing and changing 3 little parts, instead of rotating the whole housing or changing the chassis.
Obviously this diff housing has been designed to be used with MyRCCar Universal Chassis.
About bearings... I think you should be able to build the car only with 10x15x4 and 5x10x4 bearings. The question is how much of each. If you use CVDs and wheel vases wich uses two 5x10x4 as me you will need 8 of those for wheels. You will also need four 10x15x4 bearings, 2 for each differential, and 2 more if you want to use a 02024 as central differential. Remember, if you buy the differentials with bearings you can erase this last 6 ones. You will also need 4 small bearings for the steering towers. They could be 5x10x4 too...
And finally, you will need 4 more bearings to hold the pinions of the FR diffs. This can be 5x10x4 or 10x15x4. Just select the apropriate MRCC_FRD_BOTTOM.
As maybe you will know, i'm using 3d printed motor pinions now and they work great. So i decided to give it a try to a 3d printed pinion for the HSP 02024 differential. This pinion would be a HSP02030 replacement.
To do this pinion you will also need a 5mm piano wire of about 30mm long and a dremmel to cut it and to make a D-shape in one of the sides.sanding it.
Something similar happened with the vase of the differential. My Vandal kit only had 1 of this so i had to buy another or make it... And i made :) And they work :)
You can find both pinion and vase in version 5104 and 10154. Select the apropriate one to your MRCC_FRD_BOTTOM. Also you can select between M3 and M4 grubs screws for the Vases.
And the butterfly... will allow you to mount 80-100 mm big bore shocks in a buggy/truggy style rc car. If there is the need to modify it to make any other version it's easy.
So that's all by now! I hope i see you in the next chapter, the central diff housing... sounds boring?¿? There will be some surprises i hope you'll like!
