Lunar Sailor is a solar-sail inspired lunar heliostats rover focused on light-weight and accuracy but at the same time affords a massive area with a new folding possibility for heliostats in the mission.
Driven by a single motor, the metallic track conducts energy towards the main cadre of the heliostats which allows it to be easily deployed and to extend to its full capacity from its folded stage.
The curvature manipulation can be accomplished by using the soft solar-sail and the manipulation to the servo-motor. Which is located at the center of the mirror which controls several ropes attached on the sail in order to adjust the foci of the solar energy.

Due to some technical problems, we were unable to build a 3d model of the curvature manipulation system. Therefore, we use 2d hand drawings to illustrate the mechanism.

Reflecting Area: 4.2m x 4.2m, total : 17.64 m^2
Estimating Weight: 1 ton
Dimensions when stowed: 1.81m x 1.48m x 1.45m
