Work in progress
Working on a remix that will use a BeagleBone Black board. I will update more as I go along. I'm still trying to work out the software to get stable flight, but the new body and arm design is much stronger and more rigid.
If you wish to fly this quad with a more off the shelf flight controller, there are many options to choose from. All you have to design is the bolt-on board mount for the board you choose.
If you do make one please post your make! Its nice to know that your hard work is appreciated :-)

Thanks to Hovership for inspiring this project!
Future Goals
Camera for FPV flying
Switch to the much smaller Intel Edison board
Update 7:
Completely new body and arm design allows passing the wires through the same socket so there are no ugly wires hanging out. Body is aerodynamic and adds cooling ports for optimal air flow.
If you wish to use other flight controller boards you can redesign your own board mount to sit on top of the battery cage.
Update 6:
IT FLIES!https://youtu.be/pXgDGT49fZc
Update 5:
New pentagon shaped motor arms for strength and an internal wire guide
Lid to with some breakaway support material (shouldn't need support generation from slicing tool)
Improved battery door is still a work in progress
updated the BBB mount to fit the MPU9250 sensor board
Update 4:
Added prop gaurds to the motor arms and put a slit in the side of the motor arm for easy swapping of arms
Update 3
Updated the body shape and added holes for the motor wires.
Put a wire channel under the motor arm and extended the arm
Added a WireGaurd to hold the ESC's and wires into the chassis
Update 2:
Updated the body for some weight saving, Added a battery door and have mounts for raspberry pi and Beaglebone (black rev c is what I'm using)
Update 1:
I have just completed a re-design of the bottom half of the body. After printing it out it looks promising. A couple tweaks are needed to get some parts to fit and possibly a little add some cut outs to drop the weight a little.
