Arched-Window Townhouse

This is a model of a house located at 1829 Carll Street in the North Fairmount neighborhood of Cincinnati, Ohio. Constructed in the late 1800s, the unique house is very similar to the vernacular Italianate houses around it, but differs in the key aspect that it has a large arched window on the first floor, which is a character-defining feature of this house and is not common in the city. The house has stayed well-maintained and well-cared for despite the decline of the surrounding neighborhood, and, though renovated recently, has retained the original character-defining arched window. Though it may be in a down-and-out area, this house is still a bright spot that shows the potential of North Fairmount.
