This is a model of a 450 Ohm Impedance Ladder Line Antenna Cable that is used as a transmission line typically for wire antennas such as dipoles, folded dipoles, linear-loaded dipoles, zepp dipoles, inverted V dipoles, and any other type of antenna.

The balanced twin-wire pair balances the current in each direction thru magnetic coupling and helps to create a differential pair. This in turn helps reject other RF susceptibility as both wires (in theory) are subject to changes that null out any overall differences in the signal.

This type of cabling is NOT immune to magnetic changes due to nearby metallic objects and especially those with any amount of iron (ferric) metallic alloys, so care should be taken to keep this type of transmission line away from metal objects.

This type of wire is also affected by Earth Ground and should NOT be run close or along the ground.
