Calibration tool for aligning the x-axis lower rod to the y axis rods on Wanhao i3 and Plus , MonoPrice Maker i3 and Plus, and the Powerspec i3 and Plus.
They should work on any Prusa i3 style 3D printers with 8mm diameter y-axis rods.
This tool aligns the x-axis parallel to the y-axis rods.
You'll need to print 2 of them.
With the printer power off, snap onto the y-axis rods.
Manually lower the x-axis by rotating the z-screws until the x-axis rods lightly touch the horizontal shelf on the tools. These will self align as you lower the x-rod.
To remove, slide slightly along the y-axis rods until free of the x-axis rods and remove.
This is a remix of several different designs on Thingiverse. These remove easily without disturbing the calibrated x-rods and are easy to use. They also stay in place on the y-rods and making them easier to use.
Prints without supports in any material. ABS/PETG/PLA.
