This is a redesigned z-axis mount for the Ultimaker 2 Aluminum Extrusion 3D printer by jasonatepaint. The goal was to increase hole precision for the 340mm rods, and to redesign the top mount for easier mounting and better strength. I removed the middle section of the top piece, so you'll have to measure when mounting.
The mount is designed for 12 mm x 340 mm steel rods. The steel rod holes are EXACTLY 12mm in the drawing without any tolerance. I recommend compensating for overprint by setting the horizontal polygon offset in your slicing software. I used -0.1mm in Cura 2.1.3 (tuned to my printer) which resulted in a very tight fight (a bit of force required to insert the rods) to ensure absolutely minimal movement.
There's no inset for the stepper motor on the bottom like the original part. I also printed the z-extender from AndersV209's modified parts since I have plenty of room, and it increases the z print area a bit.
