I typically have zip-tied my Immortal-T antenna beneath the motors on the FPV Cycle Glide frame but as the weather got colder, I started frequently breaking those zip-ties.
Because my reaction is to turn around and head straight towards me when I lose signal strength, I wanted to keep the antenna mounted towards the front of the quadcopter so I designed these mounts to attach to the bottom of the frame.
It seems to work well, it feels more securely installed than my zip-tie method and the mounts themselves are actually a little bit lighter than the zip ties that I was using. I'm hoping that the antenna will also wind up being a bit more protected than it was in the past.
I EXPECT that this should work on just about any frame, but variations in frames' design and versions of the antenna might mean that the model could need tweaking. This was designed in OpenSCAD. Both the STL and SCAD files are included. Please feel free to tweak the design for your frame and share it with others!
Note: These mounts are conical in shape to match the Immortal-T's. As a result they are mirror-images of each other. For best results, you'll need to print one of each and then install them to match the shape of the antenna.
