I saw this bike in a (Japanese) magazine back in the 80s (Clubman 2, 1987.2). Some reports have it on the race seen as early as Sept, 1986. I still have the 1987 magazine! I found this bike so inspirational, the concept stuck with me for many years. The next bike that I saw was the Suzuki Goose 350. Shortly after that I saw the Gilera 350 / 500 Saturno. But, the internet and all it’s accuracy has the Saturno being released before the Suzuki. Their similarities are as strong as any siblings. In fact, the word is - Mr. Naoto Hagiwara, (Otani Motorsport Products) was the father of them all.

His original concept was with the Yamaha SR motor. It raced in SOS (Sound of Singles) class at Sugo Raceway. At 106kg (233.7lbs), emphasis was on light weight. It was reported to have high cornering capabilities.

Although I get the idea, I can't make out enough detail to reproduce exact details, such as the adjustable steering angle, adjustable engine mounting, etc. I suspect the original intent was to make it 1) highly tunable and 2) capable of quickly adjusting it to accommodate a variety of engines. This Replica frame would be about 13.4lbs / 6kg.

Credits: Thank you timmerman31 for your paddock rear stand (from grabcad). It's been a while but I think I got the fork and wheels from Kim Kronslev (on grabcad).
