Improved case for XR2206 based Signal Generator kits, available many places (like here with an included awful acrylic case. This replaces the whole case except for the front panel, as that has hard to reproduce labeling on it.
ASSEMBLY INSTRUCTIONS (these are pretty straigntforward):
In the kit, there are some short screws and nuts, attach those to the board in the pre-drilled holes in the corners. These work as stand-offs. (shown in the second picture)
Pop the board into the middle of this case. the bit of screw going past the nut should pop into the four holes down there.
Put the acrylic plate with the labeling in the top part. It is a tight fit, but it should pop in with a little effort.
Take some M3x20 bolts and M3 nuts. Put the nuts in the areas on the bottom, then put the bolts through the holes in the acrylic, through the case, and into the nuts, you can then tighten the bolts down.
Finally, put on the included knobs for the potentiometers on the board.
The tolerances for this are a liiiittle tight, so be sure your printer's steps per mm are calibrated well. If anyone would like to make changes, the solidworks part file for this is included as well. (also, the reason the file is V6 is because that's how many tries it took for me to get this right)
