I have a handy rechargeable folding work light that has a magnet for mounting, but it doesn't stand up well on its own.
I made a 3-leg stand into which I can push the base of the light, so it can stand on a table or the floor on its own. The bottom of the stand accepts some little rubber feet I had lying around, but it will work fine without.
I also made a sheath that slides on over the light bar area to protect the plastic lens when the light is stored and transported in one of my tool bags. When I'm using the light, I can pop that sheath off and reinstall it facing the back side of the light bar so it doesn't get lost.
The light itself is a "Magnetic Slim Bar Folding Rechargeable LED Light" from Harbor Freight, #56329. Same or very similar product is probably available elsewhere, perhaps under a different brand.
