In this day and age, there is an urgent need to shift to renewable energy to sustain our needs. We have all read about and seen the damage done to the environment by our non-judicious use of energy.

Imagine if you could ride your bike and at the same time, your phone charges. You could just plug in when you start your journey and when you reach your destination, your phone has been charged. Well, this device does just that.

On attachment to the handlebar of a moving bike, it captures the energy of the flowing air and uses it to charge a mobile phone. This device is essentially a wind-turbine on a miniature scale.

The device has both 3-D printable and non 3-D printable electrical and fastening components. For detailed information, please refer to the Documentation file attached. The non 3-D printable components will be available online or at any hardware and electrical store. The Nuts and Bolts have the potential to be 3-D Printed if desired and hence, CAD files have been provided for the same.

If you ride a bike while commuting to work, or for exercise, this device will prove to be highly beneficial. You wouldn’t have to worry about low batteries anymore and at the same time, it would be pretty satisfying to know that you have charged your phone without contributing to global warming.

We truly believe that this device will go a long way in cutting down the usage of fossil-fuels and other non-renewable resources. This is just the beginning of what could be a multitude of devices transitioning small parts of our life into the world of renewable energy.
