This model was created with Blender 2.68.I created it as part of the weekend challenges here:http://blenderartists.org/forum/forumdisplay.php?17-Weekend-ChallengeThis is for weekend challenge number 544 with the theme: My Next LifeIt might be a little difficult to tell, but the text on the inside of the rings is actually modeled and not an image texture. I followed the basic procedure used in this tutorial here:https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=O0mkoMkEbc0&list=HL1384743197I then used a curve modifier to make it in to a ring shape and after applying the modifier, I finished modeling the exterior part of the ring.I left a copy of the un-curved text on a separate layer for comparison.I used some material setups from this blend swap file by elbrujodelatribu, and even though they are cc zero, I thought they deserved a shout out:http://www.blendswap.com/blends/view/69793Any comments and critique is welcomeLatest Change on 2013/11/18, 06:12:48description
