(Update 17/03/2016)
So I came across a couple of problems with the design and I have now made the following changes: Corrected the positioning of the holes. Made the circlip grooves longer. Enlarged the bearing hole (was too tight). Finally I changed the way in which the nuts are added to the block; they now slide in from the side instead of being forced in from the top.
Bearing blocks that are similar to the stock design but are meant to house LM8LUU bearings. Screw positioning is based on measurements and the measurements of SC8UU blocks (as on this site http://www.3dprintingstore.co.za/mechanics/linear-bearing-with-housing-sc8uu/).
You will need:
A pair of circlip pliers.
The M4 screws that hold the bearing blocks to the platform.
12 M4 nuts.
A thin screwdriver or allen key to position nuts.
