Wall Outlet 3.0

As society becomes increasingly more reliant on technology, the demand for more power outlets has increased. A couple years ago, you either charged your phone at home, or you dealt with low battery for the rest of the day. Companies developed portable chargers which, although costly, solved this problem. Then came the integration of outlets in public places: airports, restaurants, malls, etc. Recently, these outlets have integrated direct USB ports.
With my Extreme Reason idea, I aim to provide a solution to the variety of charging cables. As a student this heavily reliant on technology, I carry two chargers: one for my iPhone, another my Mac. With my books alone, my backpack is already quite heavy. The added weight of my chargers’ wires isn’t the problem - it comes from the power brick of my laptop charger. Ideally I prefer not to carry the power brick; however, I require my laptop in the majority of my classes. As of recent, I noticed a couple of outlets that allowed USB cables to be directly plugged in. This sparked an idea, not a revolutionary one at that, in my head. What if wall outlets included USB-C ports? By doing so, I wouldn’t have to carry around my power brick. My extreme redesign idea is a conceptualization of this idea, including the 3 charging options.
