EDIT: I have now uploaded version 3 of the wall box. The new OpenSCAD file is highly configurable and gives you a few new options with the box. The PCB and battery case that this was originally designed to work with hasn't changed, but with some simple variable changes, different PCBs and/or battery cases can be made to fit. Though this was not made using the MakerBot Customizer, this is a customizable part.
ENJOY
This is an enclosure for a temperature and humidity sensor that i built for my home automation setup. The sensor is built using an EasyNewbie PCB created by @sundberg84 from the MySensors.org forum.https://www.openhardware.io/view/4/EasyNewbie-PCB-for-MySensors
Though this enclosure was designed for my Temp and humidity sensor, it can be used for any of a number of different sensor types.
The battery box use for this project is a 2 x AA battery box that I purchased on ebay.http://www.ebay.com/itm/New-10pcs-2-AA-2A-3V-Battery-Clip-Holder-Box-Case-ON-OFF-Switch-6-Leads-w-Cover-/371080743217?hash=item566622c931
The circuit board mounts on the 4 tabs inside the box and the battery box fits perfectly in the slots provided. The battery slot on one side is open to allow for the wires to drop inside the box.
The wall mounting plate is designed to have the box snap on the top with side clips to hold it in place securely. The box can easily be pulled off the wall with a flat blade screw driver to release the tabs.
EDIT: I have made a couple small modifications to the design of the box. For the new changes download the V2 files. I have left the original files for those that still want them.
