The VW Beetle is one the best selling cars in the world. Over 21 million cars were built by the German manufacturer Volkswagen. It's streamline shape, the air cooled engine with the distinctive sound and the trunk in the front are the most noticeable features.
My build was done on a desktop cnc-machine by Stepcraft using a spiral-toothed 1.2 mm flute. I used 6 mm beech plywood and 6 mm beech rods for the the axles. I added a little bit of grease to improve the rotation, washers give the tires (darkened with wood stained) a proper displacement.
A laser cutter might be a good alternative tool to build this model. Consider that some sophisticated parts need a certain size and/or material to be strong enough.
