Hello , this thing is a simple example of how convert a file image to lithophane (yet anothet lithophane , i think )...
This print was made with white PLA at 0.2 mm. of resolution.
The image to litho conversion was made at low resolution.
Well , if we have the file image , then go to : http://3dp.rocks/lithophane/
upload your file image and adjust some simple and intuitive parameters , choose the final form and we got a .stl file , put on your favorite slicer and you are ready to print the lithophane of your photo.
Sky is the limit ...!! , Xmas lithos for glass windows , leds lamp lithos , Hallowen candle lithos , birthday lithos and so on...
Enjoy ...
UPDATED 14/9/17
Added VFatima3.stl , litho what printed vertically increase the performance of light contrast , made with 5 vectors/pixels (optimal i think...) , thickness of 4,8 mm.
For optimal results your slicer must be adjusted to 6 perimeter shells and add 5 skirt outlines.
For print vertically you must rotate -90º at Y and center and arrange in your slicer...the size of the stl file is huge and can't load ok in Thinkercad ( must be decrease resolution ).
