Villa in Sonbeek Park in Arnhem. Villa Sonsbeek or The White Villa Huis is built on a prominent spot in the park, overlooking the city of arnhem and the park itself. The villa was built in 1744 by the architect Anthony Viervant. In 1900 the villa became property of the municipality of Arnhem and for a short time served as a hotel. Starting from 1957 it also was used as a school but was the overal condition of the building was deteriorating until 1989 when plans were made to use it as a museum.
