The first of a series of studies on iconic art related elements. Water/Wine jugs are present all across Vermeer’s art production , with slight changes in specs, but all of them within the boundaries of the so known Delftware, in midsts of the Dutch Golden Age. This specific version it’s an in detail mimic of the one present in The Glass of Wine ( https://artsandculture.google.com/asset/dama-bebiendo-con-un-caballero-jan-vermeer-van-delft/_wGElyA8n9R8iQ ). Although the back of it is hidden to the spectator, I’ve reconstructed it based on other alike jugs from the same context (from other paints and contemporary auctions) in order to match the specifics of this particular one. _ KEY ASPECT DETAIL . The model is optimized with high-res normals, and enough texel density and PBR detailed textures for each element to work individually on close-ups. 240ppu for the jug body and 485ppu for the metal lid (a bit overkilled). VERSATILITY . Comes with** 3 texture sets** (original/painted/colored and painted), and the lid with rotating capacities. EASE OF USE . The shader is set just by sliding an independent attribute, and the lid rotation linked to a handler Z translation movement. At the same time, every element of the shaders is well grouped and named for individual in-hypershade tweaks if wanted, in order to edit each shading capacity individually.
_ TECHNICAL ELEMENTS Textures are PBR; two 4K textures for Metal shader and five 4K textures for Ceramic shader . There are no “redundant” textures, as each one of them is used in more than once in the shading options workflow. Model is real size, the measures are 19.29 x 9.95 x 11.78cm rom jug bottom to lid top (yes, they were tiny). No nSided faces, no triangles. 6834 faces/6830 verts. No object is rigged and each is individually selectable. Included elements: Maya scene Textures .fbx files (low and high) .ass reference Sample renders Free license HDRiHeaven.com light texture Thorough walktrhough the scene remaks as .txt file _ The model is meant to be used with displacement. The ceramic chipping makes the most of that capacity. Therefore, the textures were optimized so there’s no height data on/nearby the UV seams, in order to avoid shading height hard jumps and/or deformation. _ OPTIONS DEPICTON The following elements can be edit directly from viewport controls: Choosing the shader: JUG SHADER: White, Painted, Dyed Lid rotation: TRANSLATE Z: 0 - 7.15 == ROTATE X: 0 - 85.8 Hope you find it of use, and of course any questions are welcomed.
