HI,
This membrane filter come up when I was using my dust/pollution mask (Covd-19 ...), and I was wondering about the efficiency of the valves that help to breath out .
1- the system was not totally proof when I was breathing in
2-on the commercial model the valves were pretty much releasing directly without any protection for outside
So, since we have time at home I decide to design my own model!
This model is composed in 6 parts:
-top case
-a filter, I have in stock some charcoal filter for ventilation system. Its maybe not the best but the idea here its to limit the micro particles from me to spread outside so the cover plus the filter should do the job.
-a grid, this grid help to maintain the charcoal filter in place, it s not mandatory ^^ but can help for another type of filter
-the main valve system with the attach for te membrane and the mask
-the membrane, I printed in TPU and, OMG it way better that my commercial system!!!
-the locker for the attach on the mask.
no screw, no glue, just clip everything, works for me.
Note: I have no knowledge about the efficiency with virus and bacteriology but for sure the system is more efficient now
This project is on work and so far it works for me!
