!!!Important!!!
The current fanduct is about 6mm too short and blows against the heaterblock (had faulty measurements when designing this thing). I hope to find time soon to finish my build and to measure the exact needed length of the fanduct. Than i will upload an updated version off it. I am also planning to make the same kind off fanduct to be used in conjunction with a volcano nozzle.
For my own build i needed a carriage and found the original from Muegen interesting but not fully to my needs. Previously on my prusa I3 i used a setup from Tech2C which has a integrated fanduct and was really happy with it, so i wanted to integrate that same principal into the new one. (that file is this one: http://www.thingiverse.com/thing:1632847)
It is meant to be used on the OpenBuilds V-Slot Mini Gantry plate, with a E3Dv6 Hotend and a 18mm Inductive sensor.
This thing will fit a boxed fan with an opening of 15x20mm on the outsides.
You might need to widen the gap a little bit as it might be a snug fit.
Also on some (well mine did) boxed fans there is a small notch on the mouth, this needs to be cut off otherwise it won't fit.
The changes i made compared to the original file(s):
Thickend the mounting plate from 4mm to 6mm
Integrated a slot for the upper nut of the proximity sensor for easier adjustment
Put the mount for proximity sensor a little higher, so the plastic is less close to the nozzle
Lengthened the hotend mount, to fit a fanduct through it
Made holes with m3 thread to fixate the fanduct (2x m3x6 or m3x8 needed)
Added an mount to fixate a boxed fan on top of the carriage (m4x25 + nut needed)
Remixed the fanduct from Tech2C by shortening it a little, and relocated the mounts
Update(s)
I have added a .stl file for an endstop mount to fit onto the 20x20 rail.
It can be used with this hotend mount and with the filtered endstops (the ones on a pcb).
