First, I wanted to fix a knife I had, (I lost the slider).
https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:764733
But I had space limits. I had to design a part that would fit my old olfa knife. It was too fragile. When I wanted to add sturdiness, It was too thick. Than, I had the idea to redesign the hole knife!!! why not?
I've tried several attempts, and here is my best result.
You'll need
-1/4-20 bolt and nut. (as short as possible, mine is too long I'll have to cut it..)
-25mm 1in 0,7mm thickness (olfa like) blades.
I've put 2 versions of my design. One that is virtually what you want (original body), but actually I'm not able to print it. I would be able in space, without gravity, but unfortunately, I'm not. If you are an astronaut that is in space right now, feel free to print it and tell me if it works!!
So the second one (with bridges) is specially designed to be printed on earth, and even best if you use those parameters.
First layer 0,35
All others 0,25
Make sure your printer is good at bridges (the use of a fan is recommended)
I also recommend looking at the layer view before printing. It's to make sure the bridges are in the good orientation. I've put an image so you can compare, look at layer 3,6 it should look like mine.
It will print bridges that will act as support for next layers.
When finished printing, it will be easy to remove the bridges using a utility knive (I hope you have one, do you?)
Note: there is a tiny hole at the top, it's there to make the empty volume that is hidden inside empty.
Hope you'll like it
Hope you'll use it!
Be carful not to cut yourself while fitting the first blade in it.
sorry for poor video quality!

Update april 2019:
My knife finally broke, so I reinforced it where it broke.
I also enlarged a little the slot to fit the blade so it is easier to fit and slide the blade.
I did not take time to reedit a updated version without bridges. If needed, ask me, I'll do it.
