While the ship's dimensions remained the same as the other Elegance Class ships, the Magnificence wasn't built for luxury, she was built for the specific purpose of long term infiltration, recon and as a heavy bomber. The weaponry on the Magnificence were upgraded immensely, her upper turret system was upgraded to a Mk.XXIII point defense turret that only fires energy munitions; but the munitions that are fired from the turret are powerful to break through any heavy shielding. Her missile launchers were upgraded to the Mk. XIX Missile Launchers that are capable firing a wide variety of missiles. Her lower turret was removed and replaced with a drop bay, that can be fitted to drop several hundred bombs, deploy spacial mines, can also be used to deploy infiltration commandos and is even capable of holding a single, large Super-Janinite Bomb. To compensate for the loss of the lower turret, the Magnificence was fitted with two heavy phase cannons that are powerful enough to pierce through heavy armor. The ship's defenses were even upgraded. Her ablative hull armor is twenty times stronger, capable of withstanding a direct hit from a Janinite Missile. Her Type-3 Primary Shield System is as strong as a large Ginian Battlecruiser and she has an onboard, Type-2 Cloaking System that makes the ship virtually impossibe to detect, a system that's also used in the USS Gunsnipe-C. In the year 2197, the Magnificence and her crew of seven were ordered to look into reports that the Adamonians were creating a super bio weapon that can destroy all life on a planet for centuries. The ship and her crew were sent to the planet K-327 Beta in the outer reaches of the galaxy, there the infiltration commandos discovered that the super bio weapon had completely decimated the native population on the planet. The bio weapon also had an adverse effect on the planet itself, making it attack any organism that touched its surface. Seeing the devastating effects of the bio weapon, the Ginian High Command gave the go ahead to the Magnificence captain, Captain Piers Jackson to drop a super weapon of their own, the Super-Janinite Bomb. When dropped, the bomb had the destructive force of a small star exploding, creating an Armageddon effect that not only destroyed the Adamonian's super weapon; but also annihilated any remaining life on the planet, rendering the planet completely inhospitable. Over three hundred billion lives were lost by the Magnificence, earning her the nickname, the 'Black Death' by the Adamonians due to her hull being painted black. She's the only Elegance Class vessel to have such a high kill count that will never be surpassed for generations to come.
