The stock UP printer has a fixed filament guide and so it sometimes suffers from slippage when the filament diameter isn't perfect. This takes care of that to a large degree. It re-uses the original bearing. I haven't redesigned the main extruder housing to accommodate this, so you'll have to do some trimming and gluing on the original. If anyone does redesign the housing to fit this lever, please post a link.
Includes four files: A pivoted arm that holds the original bearing, a fixed guide that replaces the original nylon bearing holder, a patch piece that glues onto the original housing (which needs trimming to match), and a spacer that the arm pivots about.
The arm/lever has a thin cross in its pivot hole for support. Print with that side down and remove the cross when done.
Additional parts needed:
A fairly stiff spring (about 3/16" dia X 5/8" length);
A 3mm X 10mm screw for mounting the arm
(It's been a while since I put this together, but I think I ended up completely removing the original lower-right housing flange where the black patch is attached (see fourth picture) even though the third picture shows some of the flange remaining. I was in a hurry so I just hacked the original housing, but it turned out that fitting, filing, trimming, and gluing the patch & housing together got pretty tedious and time consuming. It might be quicker to redesign the housing to incorporate the patch features)
