Being the first Skyscraper in Los Angeles to surpass 500 Feet, and City Hall. Union Bank of California Plaza rises 516 feet, 40 Stories. The Tower was completed in 1968, and was one of the first Modern Towers to rise in LA (first being the Transamerica Center in 1965, now AT&T Center) but was the first Tower to start construction of LA's new Downtown on Bunker Hill instead of replaceing the Historical Sector, unlike many other cities at the time did. The Building was renovated in 1994 - 1995, given a fresh new look along with a fresh modern logo atop 'Union Bank of California' replacing the older 'UNION BANK' logo. Designed by Albert C. Martin and Associates, owned by Hines Properties.
