This is an effect that is extremely low poly but LOOKS GOOD. when you download it, you could sware it's completely 3D! But it isn't. I used 2 rings around a face-me complonenet I made, they give it the illusion of being a sphere with a sort of aura-type thing around it. The face-me is a component on a horizontal axis INSIDE a component on a vertical axis, so the face-me can spin to face you in ANY derection. The only probleme is, there's a glitch with double axis face me's. as seen in Google's flower basket (with pink flowers), these double axis face me's seem to spaz or 'flutter' when you look at the face me fromthe other side. the face me turns to you properly, but on the other side, will spin around like crazy, trying to face the camera. I personaly think google should do something to fix this problem in newer versions of sketcup 6 or in sketchup 7. The double axis face-me is seen in a lot of video games including Super smash bros. Melee, Halo (I think) and more.
