This is a high gain linear polarized UHF antenna that uses PVC pipe as a boom. The brackets should make this design much more manageable and rugged than what I've resorted to in the past.
The posted sims are with the 6th element missing, because it wouldn't fit on my design... I posted a model for an extension that fits, but I have yet to operate the antenna with it installed. The gain should increase slightly to 12.2 dBi with all elements present (which is probably overly optimistic).
This antenna makes a great satellite antenna, though it is linearly polarized so you need to either deal with drop-outs, make two, or have a way to rotate it mid pass.
TODO: Add a rifle stock or grip for better sat tracking (this one is somewhat long, somewhat heavy, and hurts my wrist after a few minutes)
