I created this for SCUBA diving after my single-handle GoPro-brand arm cracked. I have a GoPro Hero 4 and wanted the extra stabilization of two hands.
The base supports a standard "GoPro buckle" mount.
The handles are sized as bicycle handlebars. I ordered a cheap pair of neon-green bicycle grips. They fit perfectly and are quite visible at depth.
Underneath the tray is an inset that creates a mount the same size as the GoPro underwater housing lens mount. This lets me take my red filter off the GoPro and snap it on under the tray when I don't want it rather than having it dangle from its string.
The handles are hollow all the way through so they drain immediately and easily.
The hole-and-post can be used for attaching a clip or lanyard. I have an extendable lanyard with a loop and a spring cord lock. I run the loop under the tray, over the post, and then slide the cord lock tight underneath. It worked great for 25 dives so far!
There will be some flex in the tray but not much.
The handles are strong enough for normal use (especially with added grips) but you can break them if you try.
Printing
I printed it with PLA in handles-up orientation with 20% infill
Supports for the post and under-tray filter mount are helpful but not required
PLA handled warm weather, salt water, etc, and stayed spotless on my first diving trip, but if you leave it in your car in the heat it will deform! Try PETG for more heat resistance
