On the top of the 535 metre high Misina peak of the Mecsek Mountain we find the TV tower that is 197 metres high. The emblematic building offers visitors a picturesque circular panorama. To the south we can see the city of Pécs, behind that the Baranya Hill Ridge and the Villány Mountain. To the east there is the peak of the Zengő, to the west the Tubes peak, to the north the massif of the Mecsek Mountain. In clean air we can see as far as to the Badacsony or even the Croatian Papuk Mountain. In the stead of the TV tower, the highest building in Hungary, there was a lookout tower completed in 1908, named after József Kiss, until the 1960s. The present tower, built of 18,500 tons of ferroconcrete was deigned by István Vízvárdy, Gusztáv Söpkéz and József Thoma. In the building there is a fast elevator that guests, after buying a ticket, can use to get to the restaurant at a height of 75 metres, where a glass wall offers a splendid view while having a pleasant meal. From the restaurant we can walk into a small exhibition room where we can get to know the rocks of the Mecsek Mountains, the Mecsek dinosaur (Komlosaurus), and the flora and fauna of the Mecsek.
