Brilliant Design from mcmaven - thank you so much for sharing!
just recently built this and had a few queries and issues, this remake is hopefully to help out the next person.
Lots of reprints due to my printer not being dialled in, however once i worked on the escapement a bit more i got it working.
I did dabble in updating the Arduino code as (which is a first for me)
Something that wasnt obvious until i assembled the base was that you need to switch the input wires the other way round on one of the stepper controllers otherwise they are both going the same way and effectively fighting eachother.
As the clock is powered by the quartz module, i specifically wanted the clock to rotate on its axis at a quicker rate and on demand making use of the Start Stop on the pentomitor switch as it wasnt driving the clock any longer (makes it great for showing off the intracacies of this design and the tourbillion)
The code from mcmaven had some issues for me in which the pentomitor crashed the code so i have reworked on that and it now starts and stops by the click and increments speed by 50 up and down when turning.
This was my most complicated print yet, all done on a prusa mini so i had to split the clock face in order to fit on the mini.
Have uploaded the Code and the Clockface for someone else if needed.
Painted the earth with standard acrylic paint for a bigger wow factor.
Once again mcmaven , thank you - i love this design and it sits proudly behind me in my office for all my team to see!
