Gear cover for a variety of Traxxas vintage vehicles equipped with the Magnum 272 transmission with the aluminum motor plate (Blue Eagle, Blue Eagle LS, Blue Eagle LSII, SRT, Hawk 2, Rad 2). It could probably be made to work with modifications for those newer vehicles equipped with the RPM transmission upgrade. It may also work on the TRX-1/TRX-3/TCP vehicles, but I have not confirmed).
This is designed to allow the widest range of slipper clutch options and was developed in order to house the older Hydradrive based slipper clutch shaft (which is quite tall). There will be ample space for any other slipper clutch option chosen. This is a combination of a couple different designs with influences from other covers.
The plug is loosely based on an aftermarket flexible plug. This plug should be printed in a TPU filament to appropriately snap into the gear cover. If you want to use the original plug, you will need to resize the hole.
I have tested with up to a 84T spur gear. Theoretically, it should fit an 86T 48 pitch gear - based on the math - but I have not checked. With a large number of the brushless motors available today, a smaller spur is generally necessary to hit the appropriate FDR.
