At first I wanted to make a comb, but then it becamea small scene. Imagine a corner in a modest house in aWest African country (see flag).I started with a cube for the body ofthe comb and with a plane for the head that I later bentat the periphery to the background after having deepenedeyes, nose and mouth. The body of the great watermelonof SSIMPOSSIBLE released under CC zero license athttp://www.blendswap.com/blends/view/15886 inspired mein building my own.Three textures were made by using Gimp. Four are ownphotographs treated also with Gimp. The texture of the melon isprocedural only. There are 23468 faces. About 44 min is the rendering time onan older i7 CPU for a 900x1200 picture with 500 samples.Comments appreciated.
