A marudai (丸台 marudai) meaning "round stand" is the most common of the traditional frames used for making kumihimo, a type of Japanese braid
The original Marudai disk(kagami) is supposed to have 3mm thickness but I did a 2mm version if you want to print faster and with less material.
you can build the Marudai in several ways:
1 Print the Marudai disk, the Base and 4 legs if you have a big printer and you dont worry about the time and the material
2 Print only the Marudai disk and make the Base and the legs in real wood
3 Build the entire marudai in wood if you are confident in your skills
You can scale down the marudai at 75% if you want faster printer time and less material
the infill is 5% but if you want more strength you can go to the infill you like.
For the Tama ( Bobin) you should use 100% infill to get the correct weight, also you can print it with 0% infill and drill a hole and fill it with sand, the tama should weight 100g
