So, I broke the arm of my toilet paper holder and decided to print a new one.
And then as an exercise I went a bit further and drew the whole thing and made it customizable.
With default settings it resembles the one I used as a model, but the locking mechanism as well as certain other things had to be changed due to reasons.
This was actually pretty difficult design, but surprisingly not because of all the round edges, but the OpenScad kept exporting invalid and broken STL files, but finally I found a way to design it so that the exported files are ok.
It is possible to make a non-working design in customizer so keep that in mind.
Tell me if there's something I didn't think of.
You may have to take a knife and carve the edges out of the arm, from the part which goes into the holder (last image), especially if your first layer is wide and fat. Don't force it in too hard, you're only going to split the holder.
Anyway, it would probably be faster and maybe even cheaper to go and buy one instead of printing one. I made this just as an exercise after all.
